Project Engineer

– Urenco USA

Summary of Responsibilities

Perform basic analysis and design support for facility, programs, and projects.

Provide engineering troubleshooting, functional testing, and configuration management control.

Coordinate and oversee engineering entities involved in project execution, with light supervision.

Assist in troubleshooting, resolution of technical problems using vendor documents and standard procedures.

Conduct field walk‑downs and observe facility operations for engineering assessment.

Develop plant modification packages based on identified solutions or issues.

Review technical and quality aspects of engineering products.

Collaborate with other organizations to resolve technical issues and implement engineering outputs.

Apply industrial and radiological safety practices during field activities.

Maintain regulatory and schedule compliance for assigned tasks.

Obtain and maintain required training and qualifications.

Work effectively as a team member to solve engineering problems.

Minimum Qualifications

Engineering bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited university (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical preferred).

0–1 years of engineering experience.

Work Location:

Eunice, NM

Travel Required:

10% of the time or less as required.

Security Clearance Requirement:

CAA Access and Q‑level security clearance.

Emergency Response Requirements:

Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required, including 24/7 on‑call during the designated team duty week.

Primary Functions Apply engineering judgment and professional rigor in the performance of all analyses and assigned tasks and projects.

Assist in identifying resolution of technical problems in accordance with established procedures and vendor documents.

Perform analysis, calculations, and develop designs supporting the assigned facility, engineering programs, and projects.

Conduct field walk‑downs with extended oversight in and around the facility as needed for job duties and general engineering observations.

Develop Plant Modification packages from described desired solution or from described issue.

Perform technical and quality reviews of a wide array of engineering and technical products.

Communicate and work alongside other organizations to resolve technical issues and implement engineering outputs.

Assist other engineering firms to ensure technical products are technically accurate and support project delivery schedules.

Apply industrial safety and radiological safety practices in performing field activities and engineering functions.

Maintain regulatory and schedule compliance for assigned tasks.

Acquire and maintain required training and qualifications necessary to perform assigned job responsibilities.

Take direction and function as a team member to solve a variety of engineering problems.

Understanding of basic engineering principles and problem‑solving techniques is required.

Develop and maintain knowledge of the facility’s design and licensing basis in the assigned area of responsibility.

Compensation Starting at: $88,575 - $146,169 per year, dependent on candidate qualifications.
