Overview To provide and enhance Urenco’s project assurance capabilities across a global footprint stretching over four operational sites and a number of business activities. Embedded within Design Authority, the Project and Portfolio Assurer provides assurance in the delivery of capital projects.
Lead Project Assurance Specialist Role The Lead Project Assurance Specialist will execute the annual assurance plan, contribute to continuous improvement throughout the organization, serve as a governance subject matter expert in terms of capital project delivery, and help promote industry‑leading practices in the delivery of capital projects. The role includes supervising 3‑5 Project Assurance Analysts.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in project management, construction management, or a related field.
Project Management Qualification/Accreditation such as PMP, PgPM, APM or equivalent certification.
Minimum of 10 years experience fully accountable and actively leading EPC projects (or in an owner role) as a Project Manager, Contract Manager, Project Controls Lead, or Project Engineer.
Alternative Qualifications
20+ years of related experience (in lieu of a degree).
Project Management Qualification/Accreditation such as PMP, PgPM, APM or equivalent certification.
Preferred Qualifications
An MBA in project management, construction management, or another related field.
Demonstrable experience across the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to hand‑over.

Professional work schedule with minimal night/weekend support; some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call‑outs as needed.
Travel Required:
20% of the time or less as required.

CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance.
Emergency Response Requirements:
ERO duty will be required, including being on‑call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.

Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to respond to competing demands, changing priorities, and support a busy workload with multiple live projects.
Ability to maintain working papers and documentation that lead to conclusions and underpin reports to various levels of management.
Understanding of project delivery and the project lifecycle, project controls as related to the delivery of capital projects, and various types of contracts.
Primary Functions
Overall responsibility for the delivery of Assurance Review outputs to assess project quality including safety, scope, cost, schedule, and business benefits objectives.
Actively lead the Project Assurance team and carry out the annual Project Assurance Plan.
Oversee a small team (3‑5) to deliver the annual assurance plan.
Develop Project Assurance Team Members through training, mentoring, coaching, or other appropriate means.
Advise, consult, and provide feedback on the evolution of the Group’s Project Delivery Strategy.
Champion and educate stakeholders about the value of project assurance.
Independently assess that the commercial position is robustly protected through industry best practice.
Ensure assurance reviews are conducted in accordance with established methodology.
Be responsible for the quality of the delivery of the team, including reports or assurance reviews.
Lead, direct, and ensure external support delivers in accordance with the engagement plan.
Autonomously write reports for consumption of key stakeholders and executive consumption.
Develop KPIs with the Project Assurance Manager to determine trends of project delivery.
Maintain personal, functional, and organizational independence and objectivity.
Carry out Assurance action tracker analysis to develop thematic focus on assurance activities.
Perform trending analysis in preparation for reviews.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Moderate standing, walking, and climbing.
Exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.

Compensation Starting at: $154,002 – $197,438 per year and up dependent on candidate.
