Location:
Oakland or San Francisco, with some travel to job sites in Northern California.

As a reputable environmental firm specializing in geotechnical and environmental sciences, we provide comprehensive services including geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, geophysics, hydrogeology, soil and material testing, special inspection, soil and groundwater contamination assessment, site remediation, hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Staff Geologist/Project Engineer (EIT, GIT, or PG, PE preferred) with project, technical, and client management skills to oversee environmental projects. The project manager will spend time in‑house and at project sites throughout the greater Bay Area.
Responsibilities
Lead environmental project initiatives, setting and overseeing schedules, objectives, and budgets.
Guide and support technical personnel, providing specialized technical insights or supervision for complex, multidisciplinary projects involving sub‑consultants.
Develop client relationships, actively pursue new business opportunities, and engage in all facets of environmental proposals.
Participate in presentation meetings, strategic planning, site audits, cost breakdown, and proposal preparation.
Qualifications
3–8+ years of professional environmental geology experience.
Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, or related field.
Experience performing Phase II studies and reviewing Phase I studies.
Strong working knowledge of environmental proposals, fieldwork, data collection, evaluation, and technical writing.
Project and client management skills.
Environmental background and strong knowledge of soil, groundwater, site remediation, storage tanks, ESA's, soil boring, vapor intrusions, landfill, mitigation, drilling oversight, permitting, etc.
Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer preferred.
Bonus Skills
40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
QSD/QSP (Qualified SWPPP Developer/Practitioner) certification.
