practice investigates problems in the built environment and provides evidence‑based solutions founded on rigorous science and physics. We assist attorneys, property managers, building owners, contractors, manufacturers, and design professionals with a wide range of engineering and architectural issues.
Role Overview We have an opportunity for a Forensic Structural Engineer with interests in structural forensic investigation, litigation support, structural repair, and retrofit design. This full‑time position starts Summer 2026. The role involves executing structural investigations of existing buildings and design remedial repairs for deficient conditions, including failure cause analysis, life‑cycle cost and feasibility analyses, claims response, and litigation support. The candidate will work in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with project managers on interdisciplinary efforts.
Responsibilities
Complete structural analysis and repair design of concrete, steel, timber, masonry, and other structural systems.
Conduct site inspections and investigations, including surveying, documenting observations, photographing, and sketching.
Research historical background of diverse structures, technical issues, and code issues.
Organize field data to facilitate analysis and problem‑solving.
Requirements
Degree (Master’s preferred) in structural or architectural engineering; a bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
Field experience with diverse building types is a plus.
Willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally.
Compensation The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $87,000 annually. Actual pay varies based on factors such as operational needs, education, qualifications, experience, work location, and other considerations permitted by law. A new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
