General Purpose The Residential Services Director assumes administrative responsibility for the overall delivery of services of the department of Residential Care and functions as a member of the Management Team. In the absence of the Administrator, the Residential Services Director will be the acting administrator of the facility.

Skills and Abilities

Possess a working knowledge of the regulations promulgated by the State of Maine

Experience with and desire to care for people, especially the geriatric population and those who are chronically ill

Engage and embrace person‑centered care

Work with flexibility, independence, and good judgment and foster positive customer relationships

Communicate effectively with exceptional written and spoken communication skills

Make sound independent decisions

Lead with integrity and possess a willingness to work harmoniously with supervisor and other personnel

Deal tactfully with employees, residents, family members, visitors, governmental agencies, and the general public

Essential Job Functions

Oversee Resident Care and ensure the Residential Care Department is in compliance with all State rules and regulations, meets the facility's ANA standards of care, and is in compliance with any applicable Federal rules & guidelines

Ensure all Residential Care personnel have received appropriate training, orientation, and evaluation to deliver quality care

Ensure all Residential Care personnel promote and maintain a positive relationship and teamwork with each other, other Departments, Residents, families, visitors, and all community agencies

Collaborate with the Management Team to implement strategies to assure the delivery of quality care and a timely admission and discharge process

Support administration in meeting census and case mix goals

Demonstrate inter‑departmental cooperation, collaboration, and committee participation

Know and respect patient rights; follow all procedures re: health information, complaint reporting, and managing patient abuse, neglect, and/or misappropriation of patient property

Participate in our Quality and Process Improvement programs

Qualifications

Valid CRMA certification required; LPN preferred

Managerial knowledge and experience in Nursing Administration, a minimum of four (4) years of
