The Supply Planning Supervisor is responsible for supporting integrated supply planning activities across the organization and managing a team of Supply Planners. This individual will review, identify, and mitigate near‑term and long‑range imbalances of supply and demand using quantitative analysis and data‑based decision making. Additionally, the Supply Planning Supervisor supports the management of safety stock levels and supply lead times to ensure supply availability meets and exceeds service, revenue, and profitability objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

Review, identify, and mitigate constrained supply requirements within a horizontal supply chain to support cost, inventory, and service objectives.

Participate in high-impact weekly operations planning activities focused on identifying and mitigating demand vs. supply misalignments to ensure on-time performance.

Develop and execute monthly buy plans for all categories based on consensus demand plan, vendor capacity and safety stock requirements.

Troubleshoot key performance indicators (plan vs. actual) to ensure end-to-end supply chain execution and performance, escalating gaps for decision making.

Collaborate cross-functionally on supply risk mitigation, supporting the development of collaborative action plans to achieve service, revenue, and profit objectives.

Perform quantitative analysis and reporting using data-based perspectives to influence decision making.

Perform integrated capacity modeling within the supply chain, reviewing seasonal demand signals against available supply (capacity), determining actual capability stated vs. demonstrated.

Conduct cross-functional meetings between key stakeholders leading up to monthly S&OP.

Actively engage a wide variety of cross-functional resources to identify project risks, barriers, recommended alternatives, and implementable solutions.

Develop, train, and provide work direction to direct reports.

Oversee the daily activities of the supply planning team.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel modeling.

Proficient in SAP or equivalent ERP with a focus on integrated planning.

APICS CPIM / CSCP (or other if appropriate), preferred.

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical and impactful manner.

Strong quantitative skills with the ability to analyze data and detail.

Strong planning and communication skills.

Deadline-driven with a strong sense of urgency.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, quantitative disciplines, supply chain, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) environment.

Experience managing a team of high-performing supply chain planners for domestic and international markets.
