Moog is looking for a Senior Electronics Project Engineer to develop complex electromechanical, electronic, and hydro‑mechanical components and systems for flight actuation applications. The role involves analysis, conceptual design, development, and testing of control hardware used on military aircraft. Responsibilities
Represent Moog as a recognized technical authority and project leader. Guide the evolution of conceptual and detailed design phases through verification and certification. Serve as a technical reference point for internal and external communications. Coordinate capture, development, and documentation of fully verifiable electronics box level requirements, acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints through consulting with customers, staff and sales personnel. Coordinate functional analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate systems requirements into electronic hardware specifications. Effectively communicate these internal design requirements to the other members of the design team. Coordinate detailed verification and validation plans and procedures for the testing of electronic boxes. Investigate and create new test methods and approaches. Conduct hardware and software level integration and test, including performance anomaly investigations. Create concise reports that document the design decisions and analysis results. Support various aspects of technical project planning, including designs, proposals, cost estimates, schedules and technical interface meetings throughout the program lifecycle. Prepare, organize, and present to customers in support of design reviews and technical interface meetings. Support project status briefings with clear and effective reports and presentations. Contribute to the development of new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel. Responsible for not only the technical solution but also meeting recurring and non‑recurring cost targets. Generate Microsoft Project tasks. Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its leading‑edge technical reputation. Support programs with some travel (5‑10%) and participation in customer presentations. Apply problem‑solving and people skills to business and technical challenges requiring project management capabilities. Basic Qualifications
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related scientific discipline. 5+ years of experience in the design, analysis, and development of electromechanical systems/components. 5+ years of project/team leadership experience. Experience with military standards (MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑704, MIL‑STD‑810, and RTCA/DO‑254). Access to United States export‑controlled information. It’d Be Great If You Also Had
Experience in the aerospace industry. Experience in the design, analysis, and development of complex electromechanical, electrical, or hydro‑mechanical components and systems. Knowledge of electrical hardware designs. How We Care For You

Torrance, CA: $120,000.00–$160,000.00 annually. Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package.
