as a Luxury Consignment Executive and drive consignment business by acquiring luxury items from clients and building new and repeat business within your assigned territory. This role is ideal for a customer‑focused, self‑motivated professional who thrives in a quota‑driven, in‑home appointment sales environment.
About the Role As an Outside Sales professional, you will engage clients through daily outreach and in‑home appointments, build a pipeline of consignors, and manage the entire consignment process from acquisition to shipment while delivering a high‑touch, white‑glove experience.
Responsibilities
Client outreach: engage new and existing clients via daily outreach and in‑home appointments to drive consignment activity.
Lead generation & conversion: build pipeline by sourcing new leads, reactivating lapsed clients, and converting marketing‑qualified leads into consignors using Salesforce.
Sales performance: consistently meet or exceed monthly quotas and contribute to revenue growth.
Consignment procurement & logistics: acquire luxury items, coordinate pickup and shipment to The RealReal’s e‑commerce centers.
Client experience: deliver a high‑touch, white‑glove experience throughout the consignment process.
Contract management & client consultations: present and review consignment contracts, establish pricing expectations, and guide clients through each step.
Cross‑functional collaboration: partner with Retail and Consignor Relations teams to address client concerns.
Field work: spend over 70 % of time in the field, cultivating relationships and securing consignments through personalized, in‑home appointments.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years of performance‑driven direct sales experience with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Exceptional rapport‑building and communication skills when dealing with high‑value goods and discerning clientele.
Highly motivated and results‑oriented, comfortable operating independently in a fast‑paced, field‑based environment.
Strong organization, problem‑solving skills, and proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM).
Commitment to a 40‑hour workweek with occasional off‑hours; valid driver’s license, compliant insurance record, and ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Willingness to travel >70 % within the designated market.
Preferred Requirements
Prior experience selling luxury goods or high‑end services.
Established book of business with existing client relationships.
Strong understanding of fashion trends and the luxury market.
