About The Role We are seeking a skilled
Siemens PLC Controls Engineer (Programmer)
to join our automation engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Siemens automation platforms, including Step 7 Classic and TIA Portal, and will be responsible for programming, testing, and commissioning PLC‑based control systems for industrial applications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs using Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal, and Siemens safety PLC fail‑safe programming
Design and implement control logic for automated process systems
Integrate PLCs with HMIs (e.g., AVENA InTouch) and industrial networks (e.g., Profinet, Profibus)
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
Document control logic, wiring diagrams, and system architecture
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field
3+ years of experience in Siemens PLC programming and industrial automation
Proficiency in TIA Portal, Step 7, and Siemens S7 PLCs
Proficiency with safety PLC and fail‑safe programming
Experience with HMI/SCADA development
Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Modbus)
Familiarity with DC‑DC and AC‑DC power distribution
Understanding of safety standards (UL508A, NEC, NFPA 70E) and design best practices for high‑density electrical systems
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and P&IDs
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Familiarity with vision systems, and motion control preferred
Siemens certification or equivalent training preferred
Salary and Benefits The base salary range for this position is
$140,000 - $180,000
per year, which represents the low and high end of the salary range for this exempt position. The exact salary offered will depend on experience. The total rewards package will also include
company equity
and an
annual discretionary bonus .
