Market of Choice is now hiring for a Specialty Cheese Department Manager. This position starts at $24.00/hour up to $28.00/hour, depending on experience.

Can you imagine working with cheeses, charcuterie, and accompaniments from around Oregon and around the world? Then we want to meet you! The Market of Choice Cheese Shops are a high‑energy, team‑oriented environment that create an inviting in‑store experience with friendly, knowledgeable, and customer service oriented Specialty Cheese teammates. Duties
Supervise, schedule, train & evaluate employees
Manage purchasing, merchandising & expense control
Assist customers in selection and recommendations
Keep current and continually expand knowledge of cheese
Conduct events
Organize, stock and face the department
Monthly & quarterly inventory
Check in deliveries / log all invoices daily
Enforce company policy & procedures
General cleaning and maintenance of sales area
Qualifications Candidates will have an extensive knowledge of a wide variety of hand‑crafted and artisan cheeses from around the world, superior customer service skills and a strong sales ability including suggestive selling techniques. Applicants should have open availability and be willing to work evenings and weekends.
