Senior Manager, Construction Sourcing – Houston, TX Sodexo Energy and Resource is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager, Construction Sourcing to join our Design and Construction team in Houston, TX. This role will report directly to the VP, Construction Services and will be responsible for leading the procurement and sourcing of construction materials, services, and contractors for new builds, remodels, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in construction sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation, with a strong focus on operational excellence and cost efficiency.

What You’ll Do

Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with construction project goals and business objectives.

Partner with cross‑functional teams including project managers, contractors, and vendors to forecast and fulfill sourcing needs.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers and contractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

Review and redline contracts to maintain corporate terms and conditions.

Work with the finance team to develop project budgets and keep sourcing activities within financial constraints.

Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply‑chain dynamics to adjust sourcing strategies.

Execute category strategies while maintaining compliance with company policy and mitigating risk.

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop vendor contracts and implement category strategies.

Negotiate and manage national contracts for specific product lines.

Identify opportunities to reduce total cost of products for the segments.

Seek direction from Category Directors and Segments on purchasing strategies.

Manage contracts with multiple manufacturers as delegated.

Oversee the RFP process, financial analysis, and solicitation of competitive proposals.

Communicate award decisions and engage the program activation team throughout the organization.

Position Summary Responsible for the execution of category strategies while maintaining compliance to company policy and standards and mitigating all risk. Engages stakeholders within the country to collaboratively develop categories through implementation of vendor contracts, plays an active role in developing category strategies, leads negotiation and management of national contracts for specific product lines, identifies opportunities for reducing total cost of product to the segments, and manages procurement processes from RFP to award.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

5+ years of experience in construction sourcing or procurement.

Proven experience with new builds and remodels in a commercial setting.

Strong negotiation, contract management, and communication skills.

Deep understanding of construction timelines, materials, and procurement best practices.

Professional certifications such as CPSM or PMP (preferred).

Experience sourcing specialized equipment for general contractors in commercial construction (preferred).

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years of management experience.

Minimum of 3 years of functional experience in construction sourcing or procurement.

Strong negotiation, contract management, and communication skills.

Deep understanding of construction timelines, materials, and procurement best practices.

Experience with new builds and remodels in a commercial setting.

Experience sourcing specialized equipment for general contractors in commercial construction.

Experience and knowledge of RFP processes, financial analysis, and contract management.

Professional certifications such as CPSM or PMP (preferred).
