School Psychologist
in Hudson Valley, NY and help children with special needs reach their goals. We provide excellent pediatric therapy and conduct evaluations in homes, community, and clinic settings.
Base pay range:
$50.00/hr – $80.00/hr
Job Responsibilities
Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth to 21 years in natural settings.
Schedule, conduct, and submit evaluation reports on time, including suggested revisions.
Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry‑over.
Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment, and document progress toward identified goals.
Prepare progress reports as required.
Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations, and submit required records within established timelines.
Requirements
Valid NYS School Psychologist certification.
Passion for working with children and families.
Self‑motivated, patient, and professional team player.
Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to travel to assigned cases, including driving a personal vehicle, walking, and/or using public transportation such as a bus or train.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases.
Ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
Ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/or crawl for extended periods of time.
