Position Summary The District Manager works with area distributors to develop and build our brands within the designated territory, requiring 40% overnight travel and occasional visits to neighboring territories.

Overarching Roles

Manage & increase brand visibility and sales.

Act as a strong leader and representative of Geloso’s portfolio brands at all times.

Primary Roles

Establish and build distribution of our brands by working with the distributor network.

Support distributors in proper account merchandising and maintenance.

Conduct regular distributor ride‑withs to ensure programs and priorities are on track.

Target and track new accounts and product placements.

Work with distributors in developing effective market plans and incentives.

Track and report all work successes on a weekly basis.

Work under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager to meet monthly and quarterly sales goals.

Report monthly depletion reports to the Regional Sales Manager as required.

Maintain and build strong rapport with distributor personnel.

Account Management

Sell new and expanded distribution to both off‑premise and on‑premise accounts.

Build and maintain strong relationships with owners & managers of top accounts.

Support training and development initiatives for wholesalers and key accounts.

Prioritize existing accounts and deploy resources to achieve set market goals.

Identify market‑specific business development opportunities.

Expectation Indicators

Use VIP to track and manage all key sales leads.

Explain national data trends using Nielsen/IRI.

Provide market insight and recommendations on target accounts.

Report competitive activity and market trends.

Present and engage distributor sales personnel at meetings.

Spend 4 days per week with distributors or on a Lilypad target account list.

Execute all aspects of the sales plan with the wholesaler network.

Track and report on-going market conditions through Lilypad and iDIG VIP.

Provide weekly retail/market recaps of execution and performance.

Coordinate in‑market execution/activation drives with teammates.

Maintain brand execution standards at the market level.

Keep abreast of competitive trends.

Manage own operating and T&E expenses within company guidelines.

Spend 80% of time with distributor personnel; 20% on administrative requirements.

Desired Skills And Experience

1–5 years’ experience in sales & marketing in the beer or alcoholic beverage industry.

Proven ability to manage relationships with distributor leadership and key retailers.

Proven track record of success.

Knowledge of the local beer market.

Experience with Wayne Densch, City Beverage, and Carrol Distributing is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, web‑based reporting tools, and VIP.

Clean driving record and proof of automotive insurance.

Ability to travel as necessary.

Position contingent upon successful completion of background check, drug screen, and physical.

Communication Skills

Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic, persuasive, and negotiation skills.

Strong written, verbal, and public‑speaking skills.
