Christ Church Episcopal in Glen Allen, Virginia, a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, seeks a full-time Director of Youth Ministry. Christ Church is seeking a qualified person who is called to join our staff as full-time Director of Youth Ministry in the summer of 2025 to share in the ministry and vision of our parish. This full‑time position is responsible for the ministry with our 6th through 12th grade youth (middle and high school) with an emphasis of fostering inclusive, Christian community; forming and guiding young disciples; and supporting the identity of our youth as beloved children of God. This position joins a passionate, supportive, and collaborative staff comprised of clergy and lay‑ministers. Build and foster healthy relationships with the youth (and their families) of Christ Church. Envision, plan, and lead weekly and seasonal formation offerings and programs that support the spiritual vision and mission of Christ Church. Lead and prepare the Confirmation class. Connect youth to the life of the parish, promoting their place as full members of Christ Church. Plan and lead summer mission trips and weekend retreats. Partner with the Youth Ministry Team and other key volunteers. Partner with senior staff in key areas such as adult & children's formation, pastoral care, missions, worship, parish administration and communications. Faithfully oversee the youth ministry budget. Report to the Minister to Families and the Rector. Qualifications
4‑year college degree, 3+ years of experience or Master of Divinity. Mature person of faith with an appreciation for and understanding of Scripture, theology, and the Episcopal Church. Strong organizational and communication skills. Starting salary is $50,000 and full benefits including health insurance and contributions to the Lay Pension Program of the Church. Benefits
