The School of Integrative Biological & Chemical Sciences at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) invites applications for 4 (four) tenure-track positions with specific research expertise:

Biochemistry: Research areas bridging biological and chemical sciences, including but not restricted to astrobiology, metabolomics, or drug development.

Microbiology: Research areas in the areas of virology, microbiology, bacteriology, phycology, parasitology, protozoology, or a related field.

Structural Chemistry: Research areas studying structures at high resolution, particularly in materials and biological systems, are preferred.

Wildlife Biology: Research expertise in conservation biology, population ecology, ecological genetics, community ecology, evolutionary applications, or wildlife management, focusing on mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians or invertebrates.

Each of the four positions will involve establishing an extramurally-funded, independent research program, in addition to teaching and service activities, and will benefit from a highly competitive salary and start-up package. Teaching opportunities may include graduate and undergraduate courses.

UTRGV serves the Rio Grande Valley and beyond via an innovative and unique multicultural education dedicated to student access and success. Current and emerging doctoral programs place UTRGV on a trajectory for Carnegie R1 status in the near future.
