Senior Analytics Engineer
– Growing e‑commerce agency Responsibilities
Design, develop, and manage advanced data pipelines for inventory tracking, financial reporting, and marketplace performance analytics. Transform complex inventory, advertising spend, and sales metrics into actionable insights that optimize stock levels, improve margins and maximize ROI. Build comprehensive financial dashboards, interactive reports and executive visualizations tracking COGS, profit margins, ACOS/TACOS and Amazon selling metrics. Develop predictive models, visualizations and automated reports for demand forecasting, reorder point optimization and trend analysis to prevent stockouts and overstock. Establish and uphold data standards for SKU management, financial reconciliation and marketplace data integrity. Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative, high‑performing environment. Identify process improvements, stay current on industry trends and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years in e‑commerce analytics/data engineering with a focus on inventory and financial data. Proven experience with marketplace data, ERP integrations and financial reporting platforms. Strong background in COGS tracking, margin optimization, and advertising spend analysis. Hands‑on experience with inventory planning software, demand forecasting tools and warehouse management systems. Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.) and creating executive dashboards. Expert in SQL and Python for scalable data solutions. Experience with dbt, BigQuery (or AWS/Azure) and modern data warehousing concepts. Familiar with Git, version control and Agile methodologies. Benefits
