$100,000.00/yr – $125,000.00/yr
Metric Geo’s long‑term partner is seeking a Project Engineer with a PE licence and a strong foundation in civil or structural design. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise to forensic investigations across a diverse range of projects.
As a Project Engineer, you will support senior experts in uncovering the causes behind building and structural issues, drawing on your design background to analyse complex engineering challenges. It is an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to transition from design to forensics or for those with existing forensic experience seeking career growth.
Responsibilities
Field investigations and damage assessments across residential, commercial, and industrial sites
Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications to identify design deficiencies
Conduct building envelope and structural assessments (concrete, steel, timber, masonry, roofing, foundations)
Perform engineering analysis and code research to develop repair recommendations
Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports and expert evaluations
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) licence required
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Strong design experience; prior forensic exposure beneficial
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative mindset and willingness to travel within the state and region
