Job Description
Pay Range: $46.10hr - $51.10hr
The Sourcing and Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading stakeholder engagement and sourcing initiatives, negotiating and drafting contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and procurement management to develop sourcing strategies, conducting RFx processes, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with corporate and federal procurement policies, and managing supplier relationships to optimize value, savings, and risk.
Requirements/Must Have
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
4–6 years of experience in a relevant functional area such as Professional Services, Facilities, HR, Marketing, IT, or Procurement.
Extensive experience managing the end-to-end sourcing process from requirements gathering through RFx and contracting.
Experience in pricing and contractual negotiations with suppliers.
Strong presentation and influencing skills to interact with multiple levels of management.
Proven experience with key category suppliers.
Experience analyzing pricing and determining price reasonableness.
Experience
Managing end-to-end sourcing process, including RFx and contract negotiations.
Supplier management and contract renewal planning.
Experience in procurement within Health Insurance industry is desirable.
Knowledge of federal regulations such as FAR is desirable.
Familiarity with Ariba or similar procurement automation tools is desirable.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders and procurement management to determine sourcing category strategy.
Develop project objectives, requirements, and sourcing strategy prior to supplier engagement.
Lead sourcing processes such as RFx and sole source engagements.
Serve as primary contact with suppliers during RFx, selection, and negotiation process.
Lead supplier negotiations to achieve optimal savings, value, and risk profile.
Implement sourcing strategy and contract drafting, ensuring alignment with business, technical, and legal requirements.
Act as liaison between business owners, suppliers, and legal/risk teams during negotiations.
Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies, federal regulations, and contract requirements.
Consolidate requirements and determine the most suitable method of purchase.
Manage supplier relationships, contract renewals, and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain complete and accessible procurement documentation.
