Human Resources Director

to support the company’s long‑term strategic growth initiatives.

POSITION SUMMARY The successful candidate we seek is a self‑directed HR leader with demonstrated experience in establishing a family‑oriented work culture. The Human Resources Director will be responsible for building a team to deliver all employee onboarding, employee relations, benefits & employee administration, learning & development, compliance, and recruiting. The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for setting up new hires, processing transfers and promotions, and adjusting pay rates in the payroll system. Maintain updated and accurate employee files including ICE information.

Report new hires to E‑Verify and Georgia New Hire Program.

Process terminations based on checklist, communicate with other departments as needed, complete DOL form and notify/copy Benefits Administrator. Initiate COBRA letters through Admin America.

Accountable for all aspects of Benefits, 401k and ESOP Administration. Participate on the ESOP Communication Committee and promote the ESOP in a favorable manner.

Assist in developing and maintaining a competitive benefits package offered to employees. Prepare employee census, and other research and demographic efforts required to collect accurate quotes related to insurance benefits. Update deductions for insurance benefits annually for plan price changes.

Facilitate Employee Loan process and maintain loan documents. Monitor/reconcile employee loans, monthly.

Assist Payroll Administrator in balancing/processing weekly payroll.

Administer employee savings plans including weekly upload of 401k and HSA contributions.

Ensure legal compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and other government agency employment requirements including affirmative action and EEO regulations.

Stay up to date on regulatory and industry requirements by attending educational workshops, networking, reviewing publications, etc., as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience

HR certification: PHR or SPHR preferred.

Experience working in the construction industry preferred.

Minimum 10 years Human Resources Management experience with a demonstrated track record building and leading a successful HR platform.

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite required.

Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills

Attention to detail and good judgement
