Enterprise Monitoring - Senior Consultant
Windward Consulting – Elite ServiceNow Partner delivering real‑world Service Reliability solutions. This role focuses on Enterprise Monitoring with deep Azure monitoring experience, leading the assessment, analysis, design and implementation of observability, monitoring and operations systems for enterprise customers.
We seek a consultant with 5+ years of monitoring experience, strong Azure knowledge, and hands‑on experience with ServiceNow ITOM applications (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management) and integration expertise.
Responsibilities
Define standards to monitor and support applications in the Azure Cloud environment using SCOM, Azure Monitor, and other relevant tools.
Utilize Azure SaaS and PaaS knowledge to establish monitoring baselines to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Integrate Azure Monitor alerts with ServiceNow event management to ensure timely incident response.
Demonstrate hands‑on experience with implementations of the core suite of ServiceNow ITOM applications (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management)
Design and implement multiple integrations to third‑party systems.
Leverage proven and innovative technology approaches to solve challenging business problems.
Provide technical assessments, written documentation and technical expertise.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve complex application and infrastructure issues.
Develop and maintain documentation related to monitoring processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Continuously improve monitoring and support processes through automation and optimization.
Desired Skills
5+ years in monitoring using enterprise monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, Broadcom DX NetOps, IBM Tivoli, or similar.
Experience with SCOM and Azure Monitor for application and infrastructure monitoring.
Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS, SaaS and PaaS.
Experience and certifications in ServiceNow ITOM Event Management, and ideally also in Discovery and/or Service Mapping.
5+ years in support of infrastructure technologies across cloud, networking and platforms.
Enterprise monitoring integration experience, familiar with JSON, REST API, and YAML.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Location Remote – full‑time.
