Job Description AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer based in Los Angeles office. This role will be responsible for performing engineering activities to support planning, designing, construction, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, highways, bridges, airports, dams, tunnels, water/sewage systems, power plants, and transportation system projects. Includes estimating and determining feasibility based on analysis of maps/aerial photographs, soil composition, terrain, hydrology, geology, and environmental impact studies. Join our dynamic team supporting exciting projects! This role will be supporting LA28. With an unprecedented scope, we’ll support full delivery of the venue infrastructure program for the Games, featuring 50+ sports, 800+ events and more than 15,000 Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Beyond our role with LA28, we’ve been trusted to move the city’s infrastructure forward across the energy transition, water security, mobility, sports, education, public safety, climate adaptation and carbon reduction.
Responsibilities
Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Approves and signs off on work.
Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
Participates in development of technical proposals.
Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering and 8 years of experience equivalency of experience and/or education.
Experience shall include a minimum of 3 years of project management or deputy project management experience including responsible charge of supporting staff engineers as well as project contact and coordination with clients, stakeholders, and authorities having jurisdiction.
Demonstrated experience in use of REVIT/AutoCAD including Civil 3D provide production support as a portion of team support and development.
Applicant will have familiarity with all disciplines normally involved with vertical construction projects. Engineering experience shall include design of private development projects and associated infrastructure, transportation projects focused on local roadways and associated improvements, and utility projects with a focus on water and wastewater lines.
Specific design experience shall include grading and drainage plans, coordinate control plans, phasing plans, storm drainage plan and profiles, roadway plans, traffic control plans, water and wastewater plans, preparation of hydraulic calculations for drainage and utilities, preparation of storm water management reports, preparation of project development reports, preparation of geometric and pavement calculations, preparation of civil engineering detail plans, and preparation of specifications in a variety of formats for all aspects of civil engineering projects.
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering and 10 years of experience equivalency of experience and/or education.
Professional License in California (PE).

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $150000 to $190000.
