Senior Civil Engineer-LA28

Job Summary Based in the Los Angeles or Orange, CA office, the Senior Civil Engineer will support the LA28 venue infrastructure program and a portfolio of high‑impact projects in energy, water, transportation, and sustainability. The role involves engineering activities across planning, design, construction, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, highways, bridges, airports, dams, tunnels, water and sewage systems, power plants, and transportation systems.
Responsibilities
Lead engineering on mid‑ to large‑size projects.
Provide specialized technical input for studies and design within the team’s expertise area.
Approve and sign off on engineering work.
Present complex technical solutions to clients.
Perform quality‑control reviews of work developed by others.
Participate in the development of technical proposals.
Provide estimates for engineering budgets and schedules on large projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering and at least 8 years of equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of project management or deputy project management experience with responsibility for supporting staff engineers and client/stakeholder coordination.
Demonstrated experience using REVIT/AutoCAD, including Civil 3D, for production support and development.
Comprehensive familiarity with disciplines involved in vertical construction projects, including private development, local roadway improvements, and water/wastewater lines.
Specific design experience with grading and drainage plans, coordinate control plans, phasing plans, storm drainage plans and profiles, roadway plans, traffic control plans, water and wastewater plans, hydraulic calculations for drainage and utilities, storm‑water management reports, project development reports, geometric and pavement calculations, civil engineering detail plans, and specification preparation in multiple formats.
Preferred Qualifications
10 years of equivalent experience in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.

Compensation USD 150,000 – USD 190,000 per year, based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
