Role Overview BEPC, Inc. is seeking an experienced
Senior Test Engineer
to support our client’s production operations through test system analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement of automated test equipment (ATE). This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve ongoing test issues, implement upgrades, and ensure reliable production testing of complex aerospace systems.
As part of a highly collaborative team—including onsite and remote engineers—you will identify root causes of test failures, develop hardware and software updates, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test reliability and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Support, troubleshoot, and maintain
factory test equipment
used for production testing of avionics systems.
Collaborate closely with Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve test-related production challenges.
Design, modify, and upgrade
Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
systems, including hardware racks, cabling, instrumentation, and power distribution.
Analyze
test failures , perform
root cause investigations , and recommend corrective actions based on failure pareto analysis.
Develop and update
Test Requirements Documents (TRDs)
from system-level specifications.
Program and automate test systems using
Python, C, LabWindows CVI, and LabVIEW .
Interface with leadership and technical teams to communicate findings, track progress, and maintain an actionable RAIL (Risk, Action, Issue, and Lesson Learned) plan.
Contribute to the design and certification processes aligned with standards such as
DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 .
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering (or related field).
10+ years of experience
in
test equipment design, troubleshooting, and maintenance , particularly in
aerospace environments .
Strong understanding of
Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
architecture, including hardware racks, adapters, and cable assemblies.
Proficiency in
Python, C, LabWindows CVI, and/or LabVIEW
for test automation and diagnostics.
Hands‑on experience with
RF test instruments, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies .
Demonstrated ability to lead technical problem‑solving efforts and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Experience conducting
root cause and pareto analysis
of test failures.
Preferred:
Familiarity with
embedded operating systems .
Experience working within regulated environments requiring
DO-160, DO-178, or DO-254
compliance.
Strong organizational and reporting skills, including maintenance of project action logs (RAIL).
Duration:
6 months, with potential for extension.
Location:
100% onsite in Phoenix, AZ.
Team Structure:
Work with 2 onsite engineers/technicians and a remote engineering group from Deer Valley, AZ.
Schedule:
Standard business hours, full‑time.
