Patient Care Technician
Shift:
Night
Under the supervision of a nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates.
Responsibilities
Assist the patient with changing/dressing
Transport the patient by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair
Identify abnormal findings that could adversely affect surgical and patient outcomes, including abnormal vital signs, Accucheck results, lab, EKG, and CXR results
Report all abnormal findings to the appropriate nursing staff
Escort patients to holding rooms
Assists with patient changing, and removal of belongings such as jewelry, dentures, contact lenses, etc.
Verify patient information
Orient patients and families to the environment
Obtain vital signs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Provides basic clinical skills required to safely perform routine delegated patient care activities, record and report pertinent clinical data, knowledge and use of specialized patient care equipment.
Required Licensure, Certification, On‑going Training
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
BLS certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
Work Experience One year of clinical experience is required or successful completion of the intern program.

Salary Range Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
