Job Summary and Qualifications The Manager ensures high quality, patient‑centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.
Qualifications
Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements)
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Registered Nurse
Minimum 2 years of PACU, Endo/GI, Pre‑Op and/or Same‑Day Surgery clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
Minimum 1 year of experience as a full‑time Charge Nurse/Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Manager in an acute care hospital setting
HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is located in west Miami‑Dade County. Our acute care facility has 417 beds. Our services include trauma, burn, surgical, women’s and children’s services, behavioral health and diagnostic services. We have two full‑service free‑standing emergency rooms. The hospital has received the Distinguished Hospital Award for Overall Clinical Excellence from HealthGrades, placing us in the top 5% of hospitals for overall clinical quality. We are a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, a Level I Adult Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons, and a Thrombectomy‑Capable Stroke Center certified by the Joint Commission. We are one of five American Burn Association‑verified Burn Centers in the state.
