Position Purpose Come experience the South Jersey Shore and enjoy a great work life balance! We are a two‑doctor, small animal practice looking to add another veterinarian to our team. Our hospital is fully equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, in‑house laboratory equipment, cold laser and cryotherapy. We offer a wide array of preventative medicine, wellness care, dentistry, and surgery, making our practice an excellent fit for DVMs with varying interests. We have a wonderful work environment and a supportive leadership team. All experience levels are welcome.
About the Area Located minutes from beautiful Ocean City, NJ, within driving distance to Philadelphia, Washington DC, and New York City.
Essential Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples, as well as interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care.
Maintain patients’ medical records.
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Appropriate state licensure.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates a professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
