Responsibilities
Understand device design and core technologies in order to inform test method development
Generate and execute test plans and protocols, derived from feasibility assessments, product functional requirements, risk analysis, etc.
Lead and conduct Design Verification Testing (DVT) efforts (including extended reliability tests), create test protocols, procedures, and reports
Select and implement test instrumentation and protocols, and validate their performance
Configure fixtures and instrumentation as required by test plans and standards
Operate and troubleshoot data acquisition systems and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi‑meters, function generators, power supplies, temperature, pressure, and flow measurement transducers
Perform testing as required; train other engineers and technicians on testing procedures
Produce test reports, document test results, maintain records and assure traceability
Qualifications
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field required
Minimum of 5 years of Verification & Validation experience
Fundamental understanding of design controls and medical device development process
Hands‑on programming experience of test stands and proven knowledge of data acquisition systems (e.g. LabVIEW)
Experience with communication interfaces, such as UART, USB, and CAN
Experience using Matlab
Basic knowledge of Python
Experience with lab instrumentation and complex measurements on electro‑mechanical and fluidic systems
Solid understanding of statistical methods and data analysis
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work well in a multi‑disciplinary team environment
Ability to work well in a team environment and sustain cooperative working relationships
