Software Engineer III – Perforce Electronic Arts (EA) is seeking a Software Engineer III – DevOps & Perforce to support AAA game development teams such as Battlefield, FC, and Madden.

Responsibilities

Administer and scale Perforce Helix Core services (commit servers, replication, streams).

Troubleshoot source control syncs, changelists, stream access, queues, and replication delays.

Support developers, artists, and tools teams with source control queries and technical issues.

Analyze Perforce logs and infrastructure telemetry to resolve system issues.

Tune and maintain Linux servers across virtual machine, bare metal, and cloud environments.

Automate systems using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for internal tooling and game teams.

Build dashboards and alerts with KQL, Grafana, or other observability tools.

Extend and maintain the .NET‑based Perforce management application.

Qualifications

5+ years of Linux administration (tuning, mounting, troubleshooting, scripting).

3+ years of DevOps automation with tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.

3+ years with client‑server source control systems (Perforce, ClearCase); Perforce preferred.

Strong understanding of source control commands and workflows (p4 sync, changelists, streams, queues).

Experience analyzing logs and resolving infrastructure‑level issues.

Familiarity with VM, bare metal, and cloud infrastructure in scaled environments.

2+ years of .NET full stack (C#, ASP.NET, HTML/JavaScript).

Experience with CI/CD pipeline systems.

Proficiency with monitoring tools such as KQL, Grafana, or equivalent.

Must work PST hours.

Compensation and Benefits Pay ranges vary by location. See the example ranges below.

British Columbia – CAD $119,600–$167,300

California – USD $138,400–$211,700

Benefits include paid time off (3 weeks minimum), 80 hours of sick time, 16 paid company holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k). Additional bonuses and equity may apply.
