Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA I / CLA II)
Location: 75 Francis Street, Boston, MA (Onsite)
Shift: Day (United States of America)
Scheduled Hours: 40 per week

Pay Range: $20.43 - $29.21 per hour
Grade: 4
Job Summary Performs a variety of clerical and technical duties under general supervision. Reports to a Laboratory Supervisor. Responsibilities include receipt, accessioning, centrifugation and decanting of patient specimens, and communicating with clinicians at the front window and over the phone.
Essential Functions
Accurately enters information from requisition into computer.
Transfers samples from racks to the centrifuges and to decant station.
Processes ADDs: locates sample, adds tests to original accession, completes ADDs form.
Acts as resource to CLA I and CLA II staff.
Handles special specimens (e.g., sendouts).
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum two years as a CLA I or II; 2-3 years required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to multitask under time constraints and heavy workload demands, excellent dependability, reliability, accuracy, prioritization, problem‑solving, customer service and teamwork.
