Adjunct Faculty Requirements

Maintain direct and proactive contact with student advisees, meeting individuals and small groups to build rapport, identify barriers to success, set and review academic and career goals, and develop action plans to ensure student persistence to graduation.

Convey curriculum, course sequencing, academic status, registration, and the importance of long‑term career and academic planning; assist students with registration and course selection to ensure optimal course sequencing and persistence.

Monitor academic progress, analyze reports from instructors and the registrar, identify needs or problem areas, refer students to campus and community resources, and communicate findings to deans.

Document all pertinent student information (attendance), update the student information system, and support departmental operations including tracking statistics, retention assessment, and file documentation to meet retention initiatives and goals.

Work collaboratively with other departments to address and manage student challenges and needs.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in an allied health field required, plus a current nationally recognized certification or valid license (examples: MT, RT, RN, MSN, MD, DC, etc.).

Clinical classes may be taught by individuals with a BS and an applicable license (RN or MT).

Adjuncts sign a contract at the beginning of each term outlining class, contact hours, dates, and times. Campus‑based classes are 15 weeks and paid bi‑monthly over an eight‑paycheck timeframe; salary range $825.00–$2,300.00 (actual base pay depends on factors).
