Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator with experience in structural and miscellaneous steel to support our construction projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate and competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities
Review architectural and structural drawings to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
Develop bill of materials (BOM) and labor estimates for fabrication and erection.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to gather pricing and technical data.
Identify value engineering opportunities and project risks during the bid process.
Prepare and submit formal proposals, budgets, and bid packages.
Track bid results, maintain estimating database, and support project handoff to operations.
Qualifications
Prior experience estimating steel fabrication/erection projects in the construction industry.
Proficiency with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, Excel, and FabTrol or similar software.
Strong knowledge of steel shapes, connections, welding processes, and industry standards.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.
