Responsibilities
Serve as State Central Register Call Center Worker.
Provide telephone counseling or referral services for crisis situations; maintain familiarity with statewide resources for purposes of referral.
Provide information necessary to ensure that all alleged reports of child abuse/neglect are entered into the computer terminal.
Monitor incoming written reports for CPS units.
Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the above duties.
Minimum Qualifications One of the following paths must be satisfied:
Preferably a master's degree in social work or a related human service field, supplemented by one year of directly related professional casework or case management experience in family preservation, family reunification, adoption, youth development, counseling, advocacy services, or a related field.
A bachelor's degree in social work plus one year of directly related professional casework or case management experience in the same areas.
A bachelor's degree in a related human service field plus two years of directly related professional casework or case management experience in the same areas.
The institution must be accredited and the social work program approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
This class is included as an Upward Mobility Program credential title.
Conditions of Employment
Ability to pass a background check.
Physical, visual, and auditory ability to carry out assigned duties.
Ability to work mandatory overtime.
Education Social work or a related human service field.
Work Hours Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
