Purpose/Job Function The Director of Parcel Services & Pricing is a senior leader responsible for driving parcel revenue growth, cost optimization, and superior client outcomes. Success in this role requires deep parcel expertise, advanced analytical skills, disciplined process leadership, and strong client-facing presence. This position ensures consistent, high-quality customer experience, and drives continuous improvement through best practices. The Director is expected to stay proactively informed on parcel industry trends and translate these developments into actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams. The role also emphasizes innovation, accuracy, and analytical rigor. The Director must leverage data and analytics daily to guide decision-making, validate pricing strategies, forecast impact, and ensure operational precision. Essential Functions
Works independently and proactively to achieve a broad range of strategic and project-based goals related to revenue growth and service enhancement
Use analytics daily to model scenarios, evaluate pricing outcomes, forecast revenue, and ensure accuracy in client deliverables.
Use ongoing industry monitoring and data analysis to quickly refine client strategies and negotiation positions as market conditions shift.
Lead contract optimization and oversee parcel RFP processes.
Build structured processes and SOPs for pricing, analysis, and operational consistency.
Engage clients with pricing analysis, optimization findings, and data-backed strategic recommendations.
Drive innovation in parcel cost optimization and modernization of workflows while providing oversight for the development, accuracy, and quality assurance of all parcel tools, analytical models, dashboards, and reporting assets to deliver best-in-class client experiences.
Lead, mentor, and develop the parcel team with emphasis on process discipline and analytical excellence.
Support sales with parcel expertise, industry insights, and emerging trend analysis.
Qualifications and Requirements
Deep parcel industry expertise (UPS/FedEx/regional carriers), expertise includes rates, surcharges, rating rules and pricing programs.
Strong understanding of parcel industry trends, with ability to proactively identify and respond to changes.
Exceptional analytical ability and comfort using data in daily decision-making.
Strong client-facing communication and presentation capability.
Highly process-driven with proven SOP development experience; committed to accuracy and quality.
Innovative thinker with skill in modernizing workflows, tools, and pricing methodologies.
Education / Experience
7+ years’ experience parcel/small-package experience in pricing, revenue management and operations, or
Experience with CRM software and strong project management skills desired
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Working Conditions This position will sit in front of a computer for long hours at a time and may cause eye irritation or even muscle strain. This position does require travel as needed.
Customary Work Hours 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
