Job Description
The Sr. Analyst, Advanced Analytics will join the Telemundo Strategy & Insights team within the NBC News Group, supporting data‑driven decision‑making for Telemundo’s content, programming, and audience. Responsibilities
Analyze large, complex datasets (first‑ and third‑party) to evaluate content performance and audience behaviors across Telemundo platforms. Deliver actionable insights that inform content strategy, programming priorities, and distribution optimization. Partner with research, editorial, marketing, and finance teams to align insights with business goals and storytelling initiatives. Translate analytical findings into compelling, narrative‑driven presentations for senior leadership. Support measurement frameworks and performance KPIs for Telemundo and NBC News Group’s Hispanic‑focused initiatives. Foster a data‑driven culture within Telemundo, helping teams translate analytics into creative and strategic impact. Basic Requirements
3+ years of analytical experience working with large, complex data sets. Expert SQL skills; proficiency with R or Python preferred. Strong Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint capabilities. Proficiency with visualization tools (Tableau, Looker Studio, or equivalent). Experience with audience and content measurement tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Nielsen, Comscore). Excellent analytical reasoning and storytelling skills; ability to distill complex data into clear insights. Exceptional attention to detail and organization. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field (e.g., Statistics, Data Analytics, Economics, Communications). Strong interest in Hispanic media, audience insights, and content analytics. Desired Characteristics
Experience working in a news, media, or entertainment analytics role. Understanding of multicultural and bilingual audience measurement. Experience with advanced statistical or predictive modeling techniques. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) a strong plus. Team‑oriented, curious, and able to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Additional Requirements
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
