Job Description Summary
The Field Service Engineer will provide efficient and effective field support for BD Pyxis Dispensing products and is accountable for independently providing customer service within a given territory in a timely manner, including, but not limited to installations, limited cross repair, preventative maintenance, calibration, and functional support for Sales and Implementation teams.

with us. We’re seeking responsible and committed people to join our team of professional Field Service Engineers for the support of the BD Medication Management solutions (MMS) automated dispensing segment. Position Overview
This is a remote, field‑based position requiring daily travel to customer locations within your assigned territory. A company vehicle is provided, and while the position primarily involves day travel, approximately 5% overnight travel may be required. Part‑time role Location Requirement:
Ideal candidates should reside within a 40‑mile radius of the position's base location – Omaha, NE. Core Responsibilities
Provide both remote and on‑site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems in healthcare facilities, including DHA/DoD facilities. Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize work orders; diagnose and resolve hardware and software system issues. Maintain ownership of work orders, escalating complex issues to team leadership when necessary. Implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment. Support Sales and Implementation teams as needed. Perform installations, in‑servicing, repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and sales support. Maintain accurate small parts inventory and follow inventory control procedures. Provide detailed documentation of field activities, expenses, and time distribution. Participate in ongoing training to advance product knowledge and technical skills. Understand and follow corporate policies, including customer complaint handling and Medical Device Reporting. Required Qualifications
High School Diploma. 3–5 years of combined Hardware/Software/IT experience supporting both proprietary and standard applications. Experience with 24×7 on‑call support in a customer‑facing/field service environment. Strong mechanical, computer, verbal, written, and time‑management skills. Proficiency with computer electronics, Windows OS, and networking. Valid driver’s license that meets BD's auto safety standards. Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds. Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or other technical field. Customer Support Certification. Experience working as a hospital pharmacy technician. Experience in a hospital Bio‑Med environment. Prior military Bio‑Med experience. Automated Teller Machine (ATM) service experience. Career Development
