Site Safety Manager

as a full-time, mid-senior level position within the Construction industry.

Job Description General Description The Site Safety Manager ensures ACCO Engineered Systems complies with all applicable federal, state, and local Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations. Under the direction of the Safety Director, the role assists with the development, implementation, and auditing of safety policies across all levels. The Manager works directly with field employees, company management, and customers to provide oversight of all service HSE activities, lead coaching and mentoring for Site Safety personnel, and maintain a strong HSE culture.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the Safety Director with oversight and implementation of company safety processes on the jobsite.

Respond, oversee, and facilitate appropriate injury management and incident investigation/ communication throughout the jobsite.

Assist with managing ACCO’s safety programs through development, implementation, and management of the Company’s safety policies.

Ensure ACCO’s compliance with federal, state and local safety laws.

Provide oversight management for service HSE activities.

Provide field personnel and all levels of the construction management team with the services and technical advice needed for proper administration of the Company’s HSE and Injury/Illness Prevention Programs.

Collaborate with other managers in the division to develop and maintain a strong safety culture within the service department while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local HSE regulations.

Work with the customer and site general contractor to ensure ACCO is in compliance with their standards and procedures.

Provide safety training as needed at a site level.

Assume additional responsibilities as directed by company executives.

Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, Etc.)

Minimum 10 years construction or maintenance experience in safety or operations, preferably with related industries such as mechanical contracting or similar commercial/industrial construction.

Minimum 5 years of Safety management experience.

Working knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory compliance requirements, and OSHA.

Working knowledge of hazard identification and incident investigation.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and office applications and Google and Apple applications.

Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with field personnel, internal office staff, contractor clients and staff, as well as government agencies and officials.

Ability to physically navigate jobsites; bending, standing, walking, squatting, climbing ladders, etc.

Must have a valid driver’s license meeting company requirements.

Ability to juggle competing priorities to achieve objectives in ACCO’s fast‑paced environment.

Physical Requirements

Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.

Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.

Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in a construction environment.

Additional Skills/Abilities Preferred, But Not Required

CHST preferred.

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Competitive Wages $34 to $52 per hour. Actual compensation is determined by factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, education or training, and specific work location.
