Field Service Engineer at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, based in Seattle, WA. This field-based position is located in Seattle, WA. Candidate must reside within 1 hour of Seattle, WA international airport. 25% home office and 75% in-field work. Valid US driver’s license is required. Knowledge and expertise in customer management and technical field service is required to install, service, and repair products supported by DePuy Synthes. This role involves interaction with customers over the phone and in person to handle technical inquiries and complaints. Responsibilities

Provide technical support to internal and external customers through the Customer Support Call Center Manage account schedules and perform installation, operation, repair and upgrades of equipment within the assigned territory Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs; maintain performance and service records for equipment Plan and manage region scheduling to support all products serviced by the technical department Respond to emergency service requests; troubleshoot and take corrective action Provide guidance to customers (physicians, nurses, hospital biomedical engineers) and assist when customer satisfaction issues arise Set and manage customer expectations before and after interactions to ensure satisfaction Complete paperwork and administrative tasks per policy Update service management system with work orders and related records Process RMA returns to support spare parts and equipment usage Manage allocated inventory and conduct required audits Complete required training on supported products and processes Act as customer advocate to represent needs internally Participate in incident investigations Support installation and support of products in clinical trials, external evaluations, regulatory testing or similar Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to management Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Johnson & Johnson policies Adhere to environmental, health and safety policies; report any violations, deviations or hazards Supervise staff (if applicable) to ensure adherence to company guidelines on health, safety and environmental practices Performs other duties as needed Qualifications

Experience and Education : Vocational/Trade Certificate with preferably 6 years related work experience Associate degree with preferably 4 years related experience Bachelor’s degree with preferably 2 years related experience High School diploma with preferably 8 years related work experience in customer support or technical service Required : Customer service experience and data analysis experience English verbal and written communication skills Strong organization skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office Problem-solving skills Standard test equipment (e.g., digital multimeter) Ability to drive customer satisfaction and continuous improvement Office/Field time: 25%/75% Ability to travel on short notice; frequent air travel Operate company vehicle with appropriate license Ability to work weekends and off-hours as needed Ability to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing, lifting and bending Adhere to safety rules and use PPE as required Participate in incident investigations related to health, safety or environment Preferred : Knowledge of service management systems Academic qualification in engineering or equivalent Knowledge of servicing principles, practices and procedures Experience in the Medical Device Industry IT integration skills Compensation: The anticipated base pay range for this position is $55,000 - $88,550 yearly. This job posting is anticipated to close on 12/21/2025. This position is eligible for a company car through the Fleet program and is overtime eligible.
