A South Carolina-based private equity firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate or Senior Associate to join its investment team. The firm specializes in control-oriented investments in lower middle‑market companies across the industrials, manufacturing, value‑add distribution, and infrastructure sectors. With a hands‑on approach to value creation, the firm partners with management teams to drive operational improvements and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, deal execution, and portfolio management.
Conduct industry and company research to identify attractive investment opportunities within the firm’s target sectors.
Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential transactions and monitor portfolio company performance.
Assist in the preparation of investment committee materials and presentations.
Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to implement strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Monitor market trends and maintain a strong understanding of sector dynamics.
Qualifications:
2‑5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate development, with a strong preference for candidates with exposure to industrials or infrastructure‑related sectors.
Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred but not required.
