Job Description The New York office of McDermott Will & Schulte is looking for an Associate to join its rapidly expanding Investment Management team. A background in fund formation is required. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience. Our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team is known for representing private equity funds, hedge funds, private credit funds, real estate funds, hybrid funds, and other types of funds employing alternative investment strategies. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and solid interpersonal skills, as this role involves direct client contact and business development acumen. This position offers a dynamic growth opportunity for a strategically important practice area within the firm.

Job Requirements

4-7 years of law firm experience specifically with investment funds and fund formation

Excellent written/verbal communication skills, as this position requires immediate partner and client contact

A high level of professionalism in working and engaging with high priority clients and investors

Able to balance and prioritize multiple assignments and responsibilities, be highly organized and exercise attention to detail

Able to work independently and collaboratively in team settings

A J.D. from an ABA accredited law school

Admitted to the New York bar

Expected Pay Range for Associates: 2025/2024 Class Compensation Years: $225,000

2023 Class Compensation Years: $235,000

2022 Class Compensation Years: $260,000

2021 Class Compensation Years: $310,000

2020 Class Compensation Years: $365,000

2019 Class Compensation Years: $390,000

2018 Class Compensation Years: $420,000

2017 and more senior class compensation years: $435,000
