About the Role We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to help lead and strengthen the financial foundation of a mission-driven clean beauty startup. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of purpose and performance, where your accounting expertise will play a pivotal role in defining a fast-growing brand redefining what “clean” truly means in the beauty industry.

As a Senior Accountant at G2G Ventures, you will support and drive core accounting functions, execute month-end close processes, and act as a key partner to cross-functional teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and data-driven insights that support organizational growth.

What You’ll Do

Design and maintain efficient monthly close procedures, identifying opportunities to streamline journal entry preparation and enhance overall reporting accuracy

Meet close deadlines while actively communicating progress and identifying potential issues

Oversee daily and monthly reconciliations for cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable including banking activity, credit card transactions, employee reimbursements, etc.

Lead the preparation and analyze account reconciliations, such as cash, AR, AP, prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets, and payroll

Ensure the integrity of financial reporting by managing the consolidation and preparation of internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Serve as the primary point of contact for departmental spend tracking, partnering cross-functionally to monitor vendor and invoice-level trends and drive informed financial decisions

Manage procure-to-pay processes, maintaining compliance, data integrity, and timely execution of vendor onboarding, invoice review, and payments

Support audits and drive special projects, such as fraud reviews, internal control enhancements, and strategic financial analysis

Respond to ad hoc requests from auditors, tax teams, and internal stakeholders with data-backed insights

Assist with tax reporting and compliance including preparation of annual informational reporting including 1099s and T4As

Serve as a liaison between Accounting and Finance by assisting with monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis to support decision-making

Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations to track and analyze inventory levels and cash flow, helping to maintain accuracy and improve forecasting

Stay adaptable and open to feedback in a dynamic, high-growth environment

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting or corporate general ledger experience

Deep understanding of GAAP and internal control principles

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc.) and proficiency with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite

Experience with modern financial systems and automation tools such as Tipalti, Brex, or Shopify is highly valued

Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach
