A long-standing, real estate investment and development company in Seattle is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its small, fast-paced team. This role supports accounting operations across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly organized, and comfortable shifting priorities as needed. A strong work ethic, clear communication skills, and a good sense of humor are essential.
Base pay range $80.00/yr - $85.00/yr
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll support for multiple affiliated companies
Prepare monthly financial statements; manage AP/AR, tax filings, audit support, and general ledger activity
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Assist with federal, state, local, and regulatory reporting
Support year-end close, coordinate with CPA firm on tax returns, and prepare annual 1099s
Prepare and consolidate annual financial statements for partnership and corporate tax filings
Respond to client inquiries and maintain vendor relationships
Support office administration and assist with special projects as needed
Work closely with the Controller on accounting and financial reporting tasks
Required Skills
Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Desktop
High accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize with minimal supervision
Knowledge of Washington and Oregon revenue reporting and tax structures (preferred)
Experience with construction accounting and bank draw preparation (preferred)
Sound judgment and the ability to take initiative
Strong aptitude with various technology platforms
Willingness to learn and collaborate with others
