Bookkeeper – Private Equity & Real Estate
Cascara Capital, a growing private equity and real estate investment firm, is seeking an experienced, detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of two private equity funds and multiple real estate rental entities. This position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of investments, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting and compliance activities. Key Responsibilities
Fund & Property Accounting: Maintain books for two private equity funds, the management company, and several real estate rental properties.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate quarterly financial statements, internal worksheets, intercompany allocations, and supporting schedules.
Accounts Receivable / Payable: Manage billing, vendor payments, and expense tracking.
Payroll: Process biweekly payroll and related filings.
Construction Loan Processing Management: Review and process all construction loan draw requests and payments.
Tax Compliance: Handle monthly and quarterly tax filings, assist with annual tax preparation including 1099s, and coordinate with external tax advisors.
Fund Operations: Work with the fund administrator and broker‑dealer to manage the subscription flow process, investor onboarding, and investment transaction tracking.
Investor Relations Support: Provide accounting data and reporting support for investor communications and capital account tracking.
Office Administration: Support general office operations and coordinate with management on accounting, compliance, and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, ideally in real estate.
Proficiency with QuickBooks; experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems preferred.
Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficient in Excel and standard office applications.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple entities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
