Sr. Accountant - Remote Role (Within Pacific & Mountain Time Zone)
Company Background
Our Client, is a boutique private equity real estate investment and construction firm specializing in real estate development, property management, and value-add investments across diverse asset classes in the Western United States.
Your Role
Reports to the CEO.
Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including sales, bank, and credit card entries.
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
Perform balance sheet account, revenue and monthly reconciliations.
Provide guidance to members of the accounting and finance team, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and development.
Support external audit activities by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and facilitating the audit process to ensure timely completion.
Remain current with industry regulations, trends, and best practices in accounting and finance, and proactively recommend process improvements or system enhancements.
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analyses to support the finance leadership team and senior management.
Qualifications/Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a senior accountant.
Experience within real estate and construction; additional retail experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
QuickBooks Pro experience is highly desired, as are MS Excel skills.
CPA Preferred But Not Required Not required but preferred.
