Manufacturing Technician – Grafton Sciences
Join to apply for the Manufacturing Technician role at Grafton Sciences.
About Grafton Sciences: We’re building AI systems with general physical ability — the capacity to experiment, engineer, or manufacture anything. We believe achieving this is a key step towards building superintelligence. With deep technical roots and real-world progress at scale (e.g., a $42M NIH project), we’re pushing the frontier of physical AI. Joining us means inventing from first principles, owning real systems end-to-end, and helping build a capability the world has never had before.
About The Role We’re seeking a Manufacturing Technician to operate and maintain a diverse set of fabrication equipment, including CNC machines, laser systems, additive platforms, coil winders, and precision assembly tools. You’ll execute build orders, calibrate equipment, record fabrication telemetry, and ensure consistent, high-quality output. This role is highly hands‑on and central to fast iteration in a deep‑tech environment.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines, laser cutters, 3D printers, winding equipment, and other fabrication tools.
Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and equipment checks to ensure consistent performance and uptime.
Execute build orders, document processes, and record fabrication telemetry for traceability and quality.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve tooling, workflows, and manufacturability.
Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with CNC machining, additive manufacturing, laser processing, or other fabrication equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate production tools.
Detail‑oriented approach to following build instructions, documenting work, and ensuring consistency.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with high standards for quality, safety, and reliability.
