What You Will Do Director of Strategic Vendor Management will lead GFT’s strategic relationships with enterprise software vendors, focusing on long‑term partnerships and governance models, while collaborating with business groups, finance, and IT to align vendor capabilities with business needs. The role reports to the CTO and drives innovation, efficiency, growth, and operational excellence across the Technology@GFT program.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary relationship owner for key software vendors (e.g., Autodesk, Bentley, ESRI).

Develop, operate, and scale a partnership model that aligns vendor programs with the firm’s business objectives and digital initiatives.

Collaborate with business groups and Strategic Services leaders to deliver efficiencies, innovation, and talent upskilling.

Lead joint planning activities with vendors to influence product road‑maps, service offerings, and support models.

Establish governance frameworks for tracking vendor activities, performance, and value to the business.

Align vendor benefits (training, support, marketing, innovation programs) with GFT business needs.

Proactively manage innovation workstreams with vendors to ensure alignment with strategic needs.

Track financial spend, license allocation, and utilization for corporate functions and project delivery teams.

Serve as the primary point of contact for conflict resolution.

Partner with IT procurement on contract renewals and negotiations.

What You Will Bring To Our Firm

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.

Experience with utilizing technology vendor enterprise programs for business outcomes.

Knowledge of the AEC industry, key vendors, and support use cases.

Proven ability to manage multiple technology workstreams to desired outcomes and schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of experience in software vendor management, enterprise licensing, or IT.

Proven experience managing vendor programs against strategic initiatives.

10+ years of experience in the AEC industry working with key vendors.

Certifications from vendor programs.

Compensation $210,000 – $275,000, dependent on experience and geographic location.
