Job Details We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Tax Manager in Honolulu, hybrid or remote (Pacific time zone). This role will oversee all aspects of corporate taxation, manage and monitor tax reporting and compliance, and contribute significantly to our business strategy.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all corporate tax operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.
Advise on tax implications of business decisions and potential risks.
Manage tax provision and tax compliance process.
Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
Manage and coordinate tax audits.
Maintain and update the company’s tax database.
Review complex income tax returns.
Liaise with internal and external auditors.
Forecast tax predictions to senior managers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or CPA highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax environment.
In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, and all types of tax returns.
Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
Exceptional understanding of federal and state tax legislation.
Experience with HNWI, partnerships, and S-Corps.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency with tax software and MS Office.
