We’ll lead a local team of engineers, focusing on building and scaling software systems for our mobility platform. Regular presence in San Diego is required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a team of software engineers in Hyderabad, delivering platform services and scalable software systems.
Drive architectural design and implementation of backend services, APIs, and data-integrated solutions using Java and related technologies.
Collaborate closely with product managers and architects to align technical solutions with product strategy and business outcomes.
Ensure high standards for code quality, software reliability, and maintainability.
Champion engineering best practices and foster a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of industry experience.
Hands‑on technical knowledge in Java and people management.
Success leading software teams (5+ engineers) in design and delivery of complex systems.
Strong architecture skills in distributed systems, service design, and large‑scale data processing.
Expert‑level proficiency in Java: system design, data modeling, performance optimization, and backend development.
Ability to hire and retain exceptional engineering talent.
Experienced mentor and coach with proven record of developing engineers.
Familiar with modern dev stack and lifecycle (CI/CD, version control, agile).
Excellent communication and leadership to align technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Must reside in San Diego and work from the office regularly.
Cubic Pay Range $151,500.00 - $281,500.00 + benefits.
