Base Pay Range
$28.00/hr - $28.00/hr
Responsibilities
Payroll Coordinator will assist with all aspects of the payroll process for salaried and hourly employees, including reviewing timesheets and entering data into payroll systems
Serve as backup for processing payroll activities in the absence of the Payroll Manager
Review personnel changes for completeness and accuracy before updating payroll records (e.g., salary changes, allocations, deductions)
Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll as part of month‑end and quarter‑end close processes
Enter and maintain data related to direct deposits, garnishments, and other deductions
Prepare payroll‑related invoices and reports for submission to finance
Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to review payroll data, ensure accuracy, and make corrections as needed
Assist with preparing reports for compliance, audits, and regulatory filings
Prepare quarterly reconciliations and employee statistical reports as required
Reconcile voluntary payroll deductions with vendor reports and coordinate with HR to ensure accuracy
Respond to payroll inquiries promptly and provide excellent customer service
Support audits by collecting and providing required documentation
Stay current on payroll regulations and system updates; assist with special projects as needed
Requirements
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with payroll systems preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
