Job Summary
Perform specimen collection, specimen processing, and administrative tasks associated with clinical assessment of patients. Serve as liaison to house staff, patient care services, medical students, physicians, etc., to ensure quality patient care. Execute tasks required to maintain accreditation with JCAHO, CAP, and DCRA.
Responsibilities
Collect patient specimens accurately and efficiently.
Process specimens and maintain documentation per guidelines.
Provide administrative support for laboratory workflows.
Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to facilitate patient care.
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (JCAHO, CAP, DCRA).
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
