The G70 Hematology and Oncology Unit focuses on the diagnoses and treatment of various malignancies and hematologic diseases, from new diagnosis to the end of life. The dedicated caregivers on this unit provide the highest quality, safest care to adult patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted cancer therapies, radioactive iodine and other types of radiation therapies. G70 has a positive, team‑oriented and supportive culture with daily 7 am huddles for both the night shift and day shift to start/end their shift with an optimistic mindset. A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation, from 7:00am – 7:30pm or 7:00pm—7:30am. Responsibilities
Collect, document and report patient data and observations. Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care‑plan revisions. Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions. Perform routine laboratory tests. Educate patients and family members. Minimum qualifications
Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Preferred qualifications
One year of patient care experience Physical requirements
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $23.25 Maximum hourly: $33.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
